The company is reportedly trying to buy a company that develops fare software for online travel agencies and airlines.

It would allow Google to add airline fares into its search results without leaving the Google website.

In March, Google began listing hotels and room rates on its maps application.

Google is not commenting on the deal.

Analysts say Google wouldn't offer actual flight or hotel bookings because it relies on advertising revenue from online travel agencies.
