Al Gore in Chicago for biotech convention

Former vice president Al Gore is in Chicago for the annual Bio-International convention at McCormick Place.

Gore was the keynote speaker Wednesday. He talked about the effects of the recession and climate change on the biotech industry.

Gore was one of several speakers, including scientists, CEOs and celebrities that spoke about new technology and innovations in the business.

The convention offers networking opportunities and highlights the major trends affecting the industry. It ends Thursday.
