An armed robbery suspect is in custody following a police chase that started on Chicago's Northwest Side and ended in northwest Indiana.

Police say Tomasz Chraca, 24, was in a pick-up truck that crashed in Munster shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday. Before the crash, witnesses say they saw about 15 police squad cars following the pick-up on I-294 South and then as many as 25 squad cars behind it on I-55 south.

One witness at a Munster restaurant saw how it all ended when the truck rolled over.

"I told the owner of the restaurant you know, hurry up and lock the door, I told everyone to get down because at this time all the police had drawn their guns and it was a pretty frightening thing," said Kathy Bihlman, witness.

Chraca, of Burr Ridge, is charged with one count of aggravated robbery and aggravated fleeing from police.
