On this episode of NewsViews we will focus on the recent rash of shootings in Chicago, the causes, and possible ways to reduce the bloodshed. Our guests will be Phillip Jackson, founder and executive director of the Black Star Project, which has programs to try to reduce violence, and promote education; and Charlie Ransford, an analyst with Ceasefire, which calls itself the campaign to stop the shooting. Ceasefire is sponsored by the Chicago Project for Violence Prevention, which works with communities, and the city, county, state and federal governments.
