52-year old Joan Sanchez of Oak Lawn is accused of taking more than $884,000 from the firm where she worked.
The Cook County State's Attorney says the theft took place over a 7-year period, and says that some of the money was deposited into a personal bank account.
Some of it was used to pay for meals at a downtown club.
Sanchez had been an employee of the law firm of Kelly, Olson, Michod, Dehann and Richter for 24 years.
