Explosions were reported at the scene Friday night on North Arbor Court, and the house was engulfed in flames.
Emergency crews from several surrounding suburbs including Wisconsin helped put out the blaze.
Extra alarms were called because there are no hydrants in the area and crews had to bring water in on tankers.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and no one was injured.
