Indian American Medical Association holds charity dinner

A group dedicated to the health and well being of people in the Chicago area gathered Saturday night as the Indian American Medical Association held its Charitable Foundation Dinner Meeting in suburban Elmhurst.The group works on a number of issues, including improving patient care, helping medical students reach their goals and serving the needy.

The IAMA operates a free clinic in Chicago.

Saturday night's dinner raised $70,000 for the clinic.

ABC7 Chicago's Ravi Baichwal was the emcee for Saturday night's event.
