Traffic restrictions are in place on a bridge in northwest Indiana after cracks were discovered in the structure's concrete beams.

The cracks in the Martin Luther King Bridge over interstate 80/94 in Gary, Ind., were found during an inspection last week.

Only passenger vehicles are allowed on the bridge. Trucks and buses have been rerouted.

Cracks were also found in the structure's deck surface. Officials with the Indiana Department Of Transportation are trying to figure out how repairs will be made.
