Police say they seized around 6,500 pirated DVDs from Akpezi Mokedi's home on Chicago's North Side. They were put on display Monday by Cook County sheriff police officers.
Records show Mokedi received the DVDs by the caseload almost everyday from an illegal overseas operation. Authorities say she would then sell them online.
Mokedi is a Nigerian national who has been living here illegally since her student visa expired in 2007.
