A cross-country journey to raise money for military families made a stop in Chicago Tuesday night.

"After 583 miles, I feel pretty good," said Specialist Troy Yocum, U.S. Army.

Specialist Yocum and his dog, Emmie, are making a 7,000-mile trek across America. Their journey began about a month ago in Louisville, Kentucky.

Specialist Yocum and Emmie are raising money for the group Soldiers' Angels. At the end of their 16-month voyage, they will have walked through 30 states.
