Chicago Teachers Union electing leaders

May 22, 2010 4:50:18 PM PDT
Members of the Chicago Teachers Union are voting to elect a leader.

Ballots were delivered to schools where the voting takes place.

27,000 teachers and support staff are eligible to cast ballots.

Union President Marilyn Stewart is facing four challengers including former CTU President Deborah Lynch.

Results are expected tomorrow.

If no one gets more than 50 percent of the vote, a runoff election will be held next month.
