On Friday - they were hanging out by donut shops - on the rooftops, or, in some cases, on top of their cars - for a cause.
The day marked the eighth annual "Cop on a Rooftop" event, raising awareness and funds for the Law Enforcement Torch Run, which benefits Special Olympics.
Police officers covered 120 Dunkin Donuts shops around the state.
Last year, they raised more than $182,000, and they're hoping to top that figure this year.
Everyone who donated got a free donut.
