Chicago area veterans gathered Saturday to discuss ways to help put an end to youth violence.One speaker told the group that if adults don't help children, they're effectively killing the next generation. Others discussed the programs available to keep kids out of trouble during the summer. Ald. Latasha Thomas was one of the speakers.
Saturday's summit was the kick-off for a larger rally being planned for next year in Washington DC.
