Chicago students receive good news from UIC

More than 200 high school seniors who applied for admission to the University of Illinois at Chicago received welcome phone calls Saturday.Many university officials called the Chicago Public Schools students to tell them they were accepted and to congratulate them.

Among the callers was Christopher Kennedy, chair of the UIC Board of Trustees. He and the other callers also answered questions.

UIC is Chicago's largest university with 26,000 students.
