Ford system to use Google maps

Ford car owners will soon be able to access Google maps while behind the wheel.

The automaker says cars equipped with its 'Ford Sync' feature will let drivers send Google maps data from their computers or mobile phones to the in-car system. Directions are then converted into audible directions so drivers can keep their eyes on the road.

The feature will be available on the Ford Sync system by the end of the month.
