Enfa-Grown discontinues drink

June 9, 2010 (CHICAGO) Mead Johnson says it will stop selling its Enfa-Grow premium chocolate drink after what it calls a misunderstanding and mischaracterization about the age of the children who should be drinking it.

The company says the chocolate-flavored Enfa-Grow was intended for toddlers who have been weaned off breast milk or formula. But parents and others criticized the drink because it contains nearly 19-grams of sugar per 7-ounce serving.

The company says it will discontinue the drink over the coming weeks.
