A new internet-based self management tool has been created for asthma patients to self-document and monitor their symptoms.
Researchers from Leiden University Medical Center say it works. They found that patients who used the online tool saw a reduction in their asthma symptoms compared to those who did not use it.
Patients put their symptoms into the program and get personalized advice on how to control it. Most times the patients were able to control their symptoms better and suffer less.
