Storms move across Illinois, cause damage

June 12, 2010 In Grundy County, strong winds blew and heavy rains fell. The powerful winds also struck in Livingston County, causing a tree to fall onto a house. The homeowner said damage to the roof allowed water to pour into the house.

However, there are no reports of any injuries.

ComEd said power was knocked out to about 750 customers in the town of Cornell and nearby areas.

Water covered some roads in Streator after the storm moved through. Police say there was no major damage, and the flood waters have receded.

It was just a week ago that a confirmed tornado hit Streator.
