Flight attendant helps pilot land at O'Hare

June 15, 2010 (CHICAGO)

An American Airlines plane left San Francisco Monday and was bound for Chicago when the co-pilot fell ill. That's when an unnamed flight attendant told the pilot she had a pilot's license and could step in. She sat in the right-hand seat of the cockpit and helped land the plane safely at O'Hare.

The sick co-pilot was treated and released from a local hospital.
