Former state trooper charged with child pornography

June 19, 2010 (CHICAGO) Investigators say Juan Rodriguez, 50, told them he looked at the images, in part, because he was bored while working.

Rodriguez was charged Friday with child pornography and official misconduct.

He retired from the state police in March.

DuPage County authorities say Rodriguez was arrested following an investigation that found his credit card was used to purchase access to a website that offered child pornography.
