The three-flat is in the 2900-block of N. Ridgeway Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood, and squatters reportedly frequent the building.
The medical examiner's office says the remains are those of a woman in her 20s and a man in his 70s, but they have not been identified.
The bodies were found in the basement late Monday night.
