A California man accused of leaving a threatening message at the office of Mayor Daley was back in court for a hearing Wednesday.

Thirty-nine-year-old Christopher Fox faces charges for threatening a public official. He was arrested last month after prosecutors say he threatened to shoot the mayor in an obscenity-laced message left on the mayor's office voicemail.

Prosecutors say fox left the message in response to Daley's stance on gun control.

Fox's attorney says the message was not meant to be taken seriously.
