City Council approves Wrigleyville development plan

June 30, 2010 (CHICAGO)

The project would be built to wrap around the southeast corner of Addison and Clark streets.

Some residents and business owners are against the development, saying it would suburbanize the neighborhood.

Supporters say it will give the people living there more shopping options and draw more business to the area when the Cubs aren't playing.

The plan passed the City Council without dissent Wednesday.
