Chicago congressman Danny Davis says he will introduce a bill making torture by law enforcement officers a federal crime with no statute of limitations. It comes just days after fired Chicago police commander Jon Burge was convicted of lying about the torture of suspects.
Davis appeared on Capitol Hill with Congressman Bobby Rush, a co-sponsor of the bill, and Senator Roland Burris.
Burris plans to introduce a similar bill in the Senate.
