Renovations unveiled at Roseland hospital

July 14, 2010 (CHICAGO) Roseland Community Hospital showed off Wednesday the results of $16 million spent on new and refurbished units and hospital equipment, including a new wound care center and emergency department.

Illinois State Sen. Emil Jones III was on hand for Wednesday's open house and tour and said he had secured $3 million in addition state funding for the hospital.

"This hospital is the heart of this community, it provides good health services to this community, and without it, this community cannot stand," Jones said.

Roseland Community Hospital is a 162-bed facility. Representatives say approximately one-third of the hospital's goes toward charity career.
