Toy retailer offers summer discounts

July 14, 2010 (CHICAGO) For the second year in a row, Toys R Us is offering discounts as high as 50 percent on dozens of items in the store and online, including bikes and scooters, instruments, and a wooden yard gym set.

The retailer hopes the summer discounts will give it a piece of consumers' holiday shopping budgets early.

Discounts begin Sunday and run through July 24.

The toy company's website will offer free shipping and will also have exclusive additional deals on what it is calling a Toy Cyber Monday on July 26.
