A man who allegedly blew up a car outside of a Lockport bank on Friday was in court Monday.

Forty-eight-year-old David Whitesell is charged with criminal damage to property. Will County officials say he remains in custody on $30,000 bond.

Just before 8 p.m. Friday evening he allegedly drove into the entryway of the PNC Bank in Lockport. After he got out of the car it detonated.

The blast shattered several windows. No one was hurt.
