Red Cross helps flood victims in Franklin Park

July 25, 2010 (FRANKLIN PARK) The American Red Cross of Greater Chicago opened a shelter at Leyden Township High Community Center at 260 Mannheim Rd. in Franklin Park on Saturday for Addison, Hillside and Westchester residents displaced by flooding, according to the organization's website.

The shelter served about 45 meals Saturday evening and 24 people spent the night -- including two Chicago families, according to the Red Cross.
