Reward for officer's murder up to $129K

July 28, 2010 (CHICAGO)

A group of 13 law firms helped increase the amount by pledging more than $28,000 toward the reward.

Officer Bailey was killed July 18 in an apparent robbery attempt outside his home. He was set to retire next month.

Police have released a description of a man they want for questioning who was reportedly seen leaving the scene of the crime. He is described as 18 to 24 years of age, approximately 6'0" tall and 160 pounds. The man had a medium-dark complexion and a short, fade haircut. The man was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jean shorts with a long brown/orange-colored belt hanging from his pants.
