New car buyers consider Hyundai over Nissan

Hyundai has knocked Nissan off the list of brands most considered by new car buyers in the U.S.

Ford continues to hold the top spot on the list compiled by Kelley Blue Book.

This year, Ford widened its lead over Toyota which has been hurt by a series of recalls.

Shoppers rank durability, reliability, driving comfort, performance, fuel efficiency and safety.

Twenty nine percent of new-car buyers say they are considering ford vehicles. Twenty two percent are considering Toyotas followed by Chevrolet at 21 percent, Honda at 20 percent and Hyundai at 13 percent.
