DuSable Museum to raise admission fees

August 12, 2010 (CHICAGO)

Museum officials say the fee increase is necessary because operating expenses have increased considerably.

General admission will go up from $3 to $10 dollars for adults and from $2 to $7 for students and seniors.

The museum will continue to offer free admission on Sundays and free admission to Chicago Public School students on school days.

The rates are set to take effect September 1, once they're approved by the Chicago Park District board.
