Laticia Medel, 24, faces additional felony charges, including speeding and driving without a license.
Police say a 4-year-old boy and a 2-year-old boy were passengers in Medel's car when it started a chain-reaction crash near Fullerton Avenue at Kilbourn Avenue. Johnathan Bahena, 4, was killed in the accident early Sunday morning.
Medel is scheduled to appear in bond court later Tuesday.
