August 18, 2010 (CHICAGO) --
Employees at the City Hall in suburban Palos Heights are now required to comply with a dress code. Aldermen say casual dress by some people had gotten out of hand during the summer months.
Workers are now required to wear what the law calls: casual business clothes Monday through Thursday and casual clothes on Friday.
Among the clothing now banned for city hall workers are: shorts, flip flops, t-shirts or jeans. Exceptions will be made for people who can not comply because of disabilities or religion.
