Man wearing fake beard robs Tinley bank

August 19, 2010 (TINLEY PARK, Ill.) Around 1:15 p.m., police say the robber entered Palos Bank and Trust at 9400 W. 179th Street, walked over to the counter and handed the teller a note announcing a robbery. The robber implied he had a weapon and threatened harm if he wasn't given the cash he asked for, an FBI press release said.

No one reported seeing a weapon. The man handed the teller a Ziploc bag, in which an undisclosed amount of cash was placed. The man fled on foot. No injuries were reported, according to the release.

The robber is described as 6'-6'2" with a dark complexion, 180-200 lbs., 25-30 years old, wearing a fake black mustache and beard, black head covering similar to a turban, black plastic sunglasses, black button-down, long-sleeve shirt and dark pants.
