Family and friends also came to honor Bublitz, who comes from a military family. Many relatives served, including both of his brothers.
"I have seen them grow as people so much, and really become men, and understand what honor, integrity, and respect means," mother Lisa Michaels said.
"This is a total surprise. I wasn't expecting anything, but it's nice to see a whole bunch of vets out here supporting what today's Army is actually doing. I can't tell you how much that all the people that are in the service now appreciate this,"Bublitz said.
The Watch riders gave him gifts including honor beads, a tribute to the nation and those who gave their lives serving it.
