Crews make changes to dangerous railroad crossing

August 22, 2010 (CHICAGO) The crossing on Nagle Avenue between Northwest Highway and the Kennedy Expressway will be closed for more than one week to allow crews to make repairs and safety improvements.

New warning signs are being installed to alert drivers of the dangers of stopping on the tracks. Crews will also enhance the pavement markings, as well.

State rail officials say the crossing at Nagle Ave. is one of the most dangerous in Illinois.
