Both cars are black 2005 Acuras. One belongs to the U.S. Marshals' office. Its license number is X965268 and contains a service radio along with lights, and a siren. The other car - license number 6252029 belongs to a police officer and contains one thousand rounds of ammunition.
"They were in the same three or four-block area, parked on the street. Both had their windows broken to get access to the vehicle," said Lt. Friedrich, Chicago Police Department.Authorities are concerned that the thieves could impersonate officers.
