Crews were out Wednesday night in Chicago spraying to kill mosquitoes that carry West Nile virus Wednesday night in Chicago.

The spraying started around dusk in the Austin and Belmont-Cragin neighborhoods because traps in those areas recently caught mosquitoes carrying West Nile.

The spraying was expected to continue for four to five hours.

So far this year no human cases of West Nile have been reported in Illinois.
