Investigators say the person who hit the biker stopped. Officers were able to talk with that driver about the accident.
The man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, sources said. He was struck by a black Jeep SUV, which had to be towed from the scene.
Alcohol does not appear to be involved, sources said.
