Police in west suburban Maywood are investigating what may be the illegal dumping of gravestones in an area leased to a construction company.About 12 headstones are at the site, according to the Maywood chief of police. They were discovered Wednesday morning.
It appears they had engraving mistakes on them.
Investigators are trying to determine if the headstones all came from the same cemetery.
