September 6, 2010

A study in the journal Neurology finds mild cognitive impairment or MCI is five times higher in men.

MCI refers to the stage between normal forgetfulness due to aging and the development of dementia.

The Minnesota-based study is the first of its kind to find a higher rate of cognation problems in men than women who live in the same community.

Researchers also suggest men may experience forgetfulness problems more gradually and at an early age then women.
