One of the companies bidding to run the Illinois Lottery is promising to donate $35 million to education, if it wins the contract.Crain's Chicago Business says the company promising the donation is a British firm called Camelot Group. The other bidder is Northstar Lottery Group.
Both will present their plans at a public hearing in Chicago on Wednesday. Lottery officials will then make a recommendation to Gov. Pat Quinn, who is slated to announce a winner by the 15th of September.
