Lanes reopened after accident on I-80

September 12, 2010 (CHICAGO) One of the vehicles involved caught fire.

The Illinois State Police say there were three vehicles involved and multiple injuries. The severity of those injuries was not clear.

The accident happened shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday near Parker Road about five miles east of Joliet.

The interstate had reopened in both directions later Sunday night.

Earlier, eastbound traffic was being re-routed at Lagrange Road, and westbound traffic was diverted at Interstate 355.
