The store says vandalized terminals were placed in stores between June and August. They allowed unauthorized individuals see customers' names, account numbers and secret codes. It says the affected machines have been removed.
In the past few weeks, hundreds of people in suburban Wheeling, Buffalo Grove and St. Charles who used debit cards at Aldi's have reported their accounts were compromised.
