Police have released a surveillance camera picture of the offender.
The attack happened late last month in the 500-block of South State. Police say the man told the victim he was looking for a friend -- and then tried to assault her. She pushed him off and got away.
The suspect reportedly entered an apartment through a door that had been propped open.
