Authorities are asking people to come forward with information about the corruption investigation involving a former top aide to Cook County Board President Todd Stroger.

Forty-one-year old Carla Oglesby spent a second night in jail after she was arrested Monday night and charged with financial crimes and official misconduct.

Stroger asked for and accepted Oglesby's resignation Tuesday.

Prosecutors charge Oglesby rigged no-bid contracts with the county and used taxpayer money for her personal expenses.

Oglesby remains in jail because she has not been able to post 10 percent of her $250,000 bond.
