A small child was pulled from Lake Michigan in very critical condition, according to the Chicago Fire Department. The child was taken to Comer Children's Hospital.

The child was spotted by a private boater about 3-and-a-half miles from the lakefront near South 68th Street on Thursday around 2 p.m. Sources say the African-American child is between 1 and 3 years old and was wearing only a diaper.

No boats or other debris were found in the area.

This boy was later identified as missing toddler, Dontrell Johnson.
