A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday to celebrate the completion of the Belmont-Diversey Shoreline Revetment Project.
The work started in 2003. Crumbling old limestone protection barriers were cleared away and a new multi-tiered concrete structure is now open.
Pedestrians are now invited to enjoy the steps.
