Early voting has begun for the general election. Voting sites opened Tuesday on several state university campuses.

The college campus early voting program is part of a pilot program authorized by the Illinois General Assembly.

Early voting centers will be open through October 28th, but only in counties that have permanent polling places besides clerks' offices. There are 54 early voting sites in the City of Chicago.

Election Day is November 2nd.
