Fire damaged a historic building on Chicago's South Side Wednesday night.

The fire started in the rectory behind St. Laurence Church on East 72nd Street.

The church and rectory have been closed for years. But both buildings are on this year's list of the ten most endangered historic places in Illinois.

There was no word yet on a cause or how badly damaged the rectory is.
